Some  pictures of the restoration process of my 1956 Chevrolet 210 (2-door sedan).  Here's how it currently looks (as of November 1998):

All removables off...paint stripping about half done.
Above:  You can see where the driver's side rear fender and the trunk lid (in the floor) have been stripped of paint.

Right before we took the body off the frame.
Above:  The doors and all front body panels are off...if you look closely, you can see where we've already cut out the rusted front floor pans to prepare for welding in the new ones.

Body now off the frame - frame will be sandblasted next!
Above:  After unbolting the body from the frame (and performing the other necessary steps), we used an engine hoist to lift the body off the frame.

Above:  Here you can see gravel through the floor where we've cut out the front floorpans (back ones, too) in preparation for welding in the new floorpans.
