I bought this 1987 Porsche 944 Turbo (also known as a "951") in October 1998. It's in excellent condition, and at the time I bought it, it only had 62k miles on it. The original 224-hp 2.5L turbocharged engine has had a couple of modifications done to it (all by previous owner). A less restrictive K&N air filter system was installed, an Ansa exhaust was added, and the stock computer chip was upgraded to an AutoThority "Stage 2". According to specs, the engine should now be putting out around 300 horsepower, and it definitely feels like it!
One of these days I'm going to join the PCA (Porsche Club of America)...they seem be well-organized and have some good benefits. Anyway, here are a few pics of the car...click on each thumbnail for a larger version.
But here is my favorite Porsche picture *:^)
Although the car is wonderful and runs great, I've been having "emissions testing nightmares" in trying to get it to pass Virginia DEQ standards. (This has since been fixed, but I'm leaving the info here in case it might help someone else).
