I've been playing guitar very "on-and-off" for about 20
years, although actual 'playing time' probably works out to only a couple of years' worth,
sad to say.
At present, I have four guitars:
- An Ovation acoustic/electric, which I bought as a demo model about 4 years ago.
- A 1932 Martin C-1, which was given to me by my grandfather about 20 years ago.
- An old (probably late 70s) Aria "Les Paul imitation". Not a bad guitar,
but I'd like to get a better one. I've been looking at the Ibanez series for a
while...a co-worker is trying to convince me to get a 7-string...
- An Ibanez RG570 Electric (color: Vampire Kiss), which I had been wanting forever and finally bought in September 1999.
- An Ibanez 4-string electric bass that's actually been on loan to a friend for a year or
so... *:^)
Other equipment:
- A Fender Princeton Chrous guitar amp...pretty decent sound for a solid state.
- A Peavey bass amp, with the "Black Widow" 15-inch speaker.
- A Digitech 2120 Guitar effects process (with footpedal), which I got in September 1999. Nice...very nice!
- An ART guitar effects processor - I don't remember which model, but it's one of their
low-end ones.
- An old Hohner electric guitar amp. It has a great "clean" sound, but an
awful overdrive channel.
Elsewhere on these pages I have a list of some of my favorite
guitarists (and other musicians), and a general music page.
