Taken at Mammoth Site (archaological dig) in South Dakota. Skeletal remains from 53 mammoths have been found at this site, and they're only 30% into the dig. Theory is that it was a sinkhole full of water, with muddy, slippery sides - the mammoths would come down the slope to get water, then couldn't get back out. (8/17/2004)
