Taken on the fifth day of the cruise, during the "Misty Fjords Wilderness Cruise and Flight" excursion, while in port at Ketchikan, Alaska. (09/10/2004) Cruise to Alaska on the "Serenade of the Seas" (Royal Caribbean). Taken on the fifth day of the cruise, while on the "Misty Fjords Wilderness Cruise and Flight" (cruise portion). This is the magmatic core of an extinct volcano. The rest of the volcano has eroded away, leaving the harder core as a "pillar" of sorts in the fjord. Perched atop is a beautiful bald eagle (this is the original shot...next is a "zoomed-in" version of the eagle itself). (09/10/2004)
