The National Music Museum (or "Shrine to Music Museum") in Vermillion South Dakota (at the University of South Dakota). The museum contains over 10,000 music instruments, including many extremely rare and highly valuable pieces. (8/13/2004) In addition to older and rare, but well-known instruments, they also had many unusual ones, such as this "Double Chromatic Harp," invented and built by Henry Greenway, Brooklyn New York (1890). One of only two such instruments known to survive, the other being at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. I could have spent two days in this museum...as it was, I took over 100 pictures.
