Taken along the Oregon coast. This is "Haystack Rock" (the larger one, on the right) on the Oregon coast, which is the core of an extinct volcano. The volcano itself has eroded away, but the solidified magma core remains. Photo taken at Cannon Beach (or just south of it). (09/26/2004)
