At Lake Tahoe in the Sierra Nevadas of California. This is Emerald Bay, with Fannette Island in the middle of it (150' above the lake's surface). At the same time Mrs. Knight had her "Vikingsholm" estate built on the shore, she also had a small "teahouse" built on the top of Fannette Island, where she brought guests by boat.. (10/10/2004)
