Taken at Joshua Tree National Park in southern California. This is at Barker Dam, which is a man-made dam at a natural spring. At one point, ranchers used the area, but as the climate changed, they left for "greener" pastures, but the dam is still there benefitting local wildlife by providing a good water source in this desert climate.
