Virginia Tech, where I received my B.S. degree, is located in Blacksburg, VA. Probably four of the best years of my life (so far), I received a great education, met a bunch of good people, had a great time, and made some great friends, several of whom I still see or at least speak with regularly.
I lived in Thomas Hall dormitory for my first two years at Virginia Tech, in (rooms 426 and 433, respectively, for what it's worth), then moved to Shanks Hall (room 401) where I spent my last two years. Obviously, I enjoyed living in the dorms, although I lived off-campus during a couple of summer sessions in Foxridge Apartments in Blacksburg (sub-leased). I think a couple of the reasons why I enjoyed dorm life were that (a) Most of the people on my floor (especially in Thomas Hall) were really cool, and (b) I had great roomates, two of whom are still close friends.
